Helicol is the most durable, reliable and attractive pool solar heating system available.
Helicol is manufactured by Plastic Magen – the company that pioneered a unique polypropylene moulding process more than 30 years ago. By the 1990’s Helicol had grown to become the worlds largest manufacturer of solar pool heating collectors. Helicol was the first solar pool heating manufacturer anywhere in the world to be certified for complying with ISO9002.
Using a separate pump, pool water will be pumped to the solar collectors on the roof where direct heat from the sun will be absorbed into the water as it passes through thousands of meters of solar tubes. The heated water is then returned to the pool.
Using Helicol engineer’s recommended flow rates the system can be designed to provide for the entire contents of your pool to pass through the roof collectors at least once per day under normal solar conditions.
Helicol solar pool heating collectors are unique in that all the individual risers are fully moulded into the headers and footer tubes during manufacture. This eliminates the need for hundreds of onsite connections thus reducing the chance of future leakages from these points. In addition, the extensive pressure testing of every collector is carried out in the factory before shipment. This ensures peace of mind.
The greatest feature of Helicol is the quantity of tubing able to be installed in a given area. This is possible due to the over moulding process used in the manufacture of the product, which results in the individual tubes being extremely close together. This allows Helicol to provide 137 metres of tubing per square metre of surface area. This means that a smaller area of collector can provide more tubing.
